Last updated on Friday, August 8, 2008

(ROCKVILLE) - 41-year-old Jamie Long of Indianapolis has been arrested in connection with the August 4th escape of convicted killer Sarah Pender from the Rockville Correctional Facility.

Long was arrested at her home by the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force. Task force members believe Long picked up Pender outside the facility after she was driven out by correctional officer Scott Spitler. Spitler has been arrested and remains in the Parke County Jail. Pender was serving a 110 year sentence for the murders of two roommates in 2000.

Pender remains at large. She's described as a white female, 5'8" tall, 200 lbs. with brown hair and blue eyes. She has a tattoo of a target on her upper right leg and a faded butterfly on her chest.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call their local law enforcement agency.
