Last updated on Friday, August 8, 2008

(NORTH MANCHESTER) - North Manchester Police Chief David Young resigned this week.

This came a week after town officials learned Young is the subject of an Indiana State Police investigation for possible inappropriate conduct. Young reportedly is receiving voluntary treatment at a mental health facility.

Jeff Perry will serve as the interim town marshal. A search team has been put together to hire a new town marshal.
