Cyclists Hit The Streets Of Marion

(MARION) - The Marion Classic, Indiana’s largest professional cycling event, is today and Saturday.

The two-day professionally sanctioned bicycle race runs through the streets of downtown Marion.

An international roster of nearly 90 cycling teams are competing for $15,000 dollars in prize money. Another $5,000 dollars will be awarded in the amateur races.

Today's schedule of six races start after 3:00pm on the Southside of Marion with the start/finish line at Washington and 31st Street.

Saturday's schedule features nine races beginning just before 9:00am and are on the Northside at Highland Avenue and River Road.
