Woman Shoots Motorcyclist, Faces Charges

Last updated on Tuesday, July 22, 2008

(JEFFERSONVILLE) - A grand jury has indicted a Jeffersonville woman on felony charges over an apparent road-rage shooting.

39-year-old Yalanda Parrish is accused of aggravated battery and criminal recklessness in the June 17 shooting of Wesley Mosier of Corydon. Parrish surrendered Monday at the Clark County Jail and was released on a 1,500 dollar cash bond.

Police say Mosier was shot once in the chest after he got off his motorcycle and approached Parrish's car. Parrish told investigators that Mosier tried to strike her, but Mosier claims he was only complaining about her aggressive driving.

Mosier spent 11 days in the hospital -- and does not face any criminal charges.
