(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Supreme Court will hear oral arguments today in the case of Tommy Pruitt who was sentenced to death in 2003 for the murder of a Morgan County sheriff’s deputy.
Sergeant Dan Starnes was shot during a traffic stop in 2001 and died a month later.
A decision on overturning the death penalty for Pruitt could take up to a year.
