Police Officer Improving Following Shooting

(INDIANAPOLIS) - An Indianapolis police officer is showing signs of improvement after being shot while trying to capture a murder suspect.

29-year-old Jason Fishburn was chasing a suspect in the homicide of a 69-year-old man when the suspect shot him on the city's eastside.

Fishburn was hit in the torso. He also was shot in the head, and a bullet passed through his skull.
