Last updated on Tuesday, July 22, 2008

(EVANSVILLE) - An Evansville man faces charges after allegedly kidnapping and shooting an acquaintance.

29-year old Matthew Koch was arrested in Oklahoma City over the weekend. He allegedly forced his "on-again-off-again" girlfriend at gunpoint to drive to his vehicle in Evansville and then drove them across country. Koch allegedly turned violent during the drive and beat and shot 23-year old Lien Kim Le.

Officials believe a mental collapse led to the incidents.
