(MADISON) - Indiana DNR officers are investigating the drowning death of a Scottsburg man in Madison, Indiana.
Conservation officers say they received a call yesterday afternoon that led to the recovery of 29-year-old Jeremy Smith of Scottsburg by a Hanover Fire Department scuba team.
Witnesses say Smith was fishing on a lake up there when he decided to jump in for a swim and when he went under, he didn't come back up.
Officials are still trying to figure out what happened.
