(EVANSVILLE) - A change of venue is being sought for an Evansville woman accused of killing her son.

Amanda Lay is scheduled for trial in connection with the beating death of her 3-year-old son, Kalab. Both she and her husband, Terry Lay, are in the Vanderburgh County Jail awaiting trial. They also are accused of abusing his twin sister.

The trial may be moved to Jeffersonville because of pretrial publicity.
