Amateur And Pro Cyclists Hit The Streets Of Marion

(MARION) - The Marion Classic is two days of amateur, community and professional bicycle races through the streets of Marion.

Top professional and amateur cycling teams will compete for a total of $20,000 dollars in prize money on August 8th and 9th.

Race Director Chase Hoefer says the professional races are attracting international participants.

It's the second year for the state's largest professional cycling event which also includes two community bike races.

Proceeds from the race benefit World Hope International.
