Woman Slams Car Into Police Cruiser

(INDIANAPOLIS) - An Indiana state trooper was injured Sunday morning when an Indianapolis woman slammed her car into his parked police cruiser.

Trooper Jeff Woodward was helping a motorist change a tire when Amber Harper attempted to change lanes, lost control and crashed into the police cruiser parked behind the disabled vehicle on the shoulder.

Harper was cited for reckless driving, speeding, having no drivers license in her possession and driving with an expired license plate.

Trooper Woodward was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. No one else was injured.
