(SILVER LAKE) - A Kosciusko County man faces charges after running from state conservation officers.
The chase began Sunday at Silver Lake. Police say they were checking the fishing license of Eric Smallwood, who identified himself as someone else, when he dove into the lake. Smallwood swam a short distance before running about half a mile.
Authorities say Smallwood is wanted on two warrants in Kosciusko County and was in possession of marijuana.
