(INDIANAPOLIS) - It may be a week or two before we learn the fate of an Indianapolis Metro Police officer accused of using his foot to subdue a suspect.
Felipe Alvarado told reporters he was hurt when officer Jason Scott pushed his head to the ground using his foot two days ago. But, Sergeant Matthew Mount says Alvarado is spinning tales and has a lengthy criminal record.
Mount admits Scott's actions may've not been appropriate, but it was not a case of excessive force. Mount says the first two officers on the scene did everything on the level and aren't in trouble.
Alvarado told police at the scene he didn't think it was excessive force and apologized for running. Mount says he's not surprised Alvarado changed his story.
