(SEYMOUR) - Some partying butler students took a detour on the way to the Kentucky Derby this weekend.

State police stopped the bus near Seymour after a driver spotted alcohol.

Sergeant Don Gregory with the Seymour post says police smelled liquor and took the bus to the office. Sixteen kids were cited for underage drinking.

Gregory says despite that, the rest of the derby weekend was "quiet." He says aggressive drivers and arrests for drinking and driving were down compared to last derby weekend.
