(WASHINGTON) - A new study indicates Indianapolis is second among U.S. metropolitan areas in carbon monoxide emissions.
Only the Lexington, Kentucky area was ranked higher in the study by the Brookings Institution.
Metropolitan area emissions of carbon dioxide are highest in the east, where people use a lot of coal for electricity.
