(UNDATED) - The American Council For The Blind has won another round in its six-year legal fight with the treasury department to change U.S. paper currency.
A federal appeals court says our government discriminates against blind people by printing paper money that is impossible for them to distinguish various denominations.
Ron Brown, Indiana president of the National Federal of the Blind disagrees with the court. He says not be able to identify paper money is an inconvenience, but not discriminatory.
He says he cannot imagine a world in which everything had to be blind-friendly.
