(PERM, RUSSIA) - Indiana Senator Richard Lugar says Russia has completed the destruction of an entire class of ballistic missile.
Lugar sponsored the 1991 law which committed US funding to helping the former Soviet Union destroy weapons stockpiles.
Nearly 700 ICBM's and 7,000 nuclear warheads have been eliminated, including today's destruction of the last SS24 missiles.
The SS24 was shuttled around on railway tracks and carried 10 warheads.
