(UNDATED) - Much of Indiana is still reeling from months of heavy rain. The weather has warmed up and now farmers are facing some challenges when it comes to planting.

Indiana Farm Bureau President Don Villwock says he is cautiously optimistic about the spring planting season. Villwock says even his farm in Southern Indiana still has standing water.

Villwock says farmers may have a harder time planting corn and could switch to soybeans. Plus, time is running out - Villwock says it will be very hard to make a fall harvest if corn isn't in the ground until the middle of may.
