(WHITELAND) - A Johnson County community is mourning the loss of two Whiteland High School sophomores.
15-year-old Justin Minton and 16-year-old Cody Stevenson died Friday morning after the car they were riding in left the roadway and slammed into a tree south of Greenwood.
Investigators say the two--and driver, 17-year-old Amir Ahmetasevic--were on their way to school when the crash occurred. Ahmetasevic was taken to Methodist Hospital for treatment.
Whiteland administrators say all of the victims are well-liked.
