(HIGHLAND) - A Highland woman was critically injured after her husband allegedly beat her and forced her to drink bleach.
Ronald Kownacki told investigators he woke up and decided to kill himself by drinking bleach, and scuffled with his wife Jennifer as she tried to get the bottle away from him.
Kownacki poured bleach over her face, then into her mouth, then began taking pills he found in the house.
