(UNDATED) - Drunk drivers beware, another Operation Pull Over is near.
The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute announces blitz 54 beginning Friday, March 7th. More than 200 state and local police agencies will strictly enforce traffic laws during the blitz.
The blitz coincides with St. Patrick's Day and the Big Ten basketball tournament in Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Chief Michael Spears says the special patrols will cover all areas of the city and officers will be watching for any sign of impaired driving.
Nearly 24% of fatal crashes in Indiana last year involved alcohol.
