Woman Seeks Early Release, Currently Serving 100 Years

Last updated on Monday, February 18, 2008

(MUNCIE) - A woman serving a 100-year prison sentence for a double murder in Delaware County is seeking an early release.

43-year-old Suzanne Rainey was convicted in 1989 for the deaths of 33-year-old Donald Smith and 23-year-old alma Faye Conley.

Authorities say Rainey and a co-defendant were in the process of burglarizing a gun shop when they unexpectedly encountered the couple who lived in an apartment above the business.
