Thousands Of Hoosiers Receive Invalid Driver License Notices

Last updated on Saturday, February 16, 2008

(UNDATED) - More than 32,000 people will get letters from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles next week, saying their information doesn’t add up and their license is now invalid.

BMV Commissioner Ron Stiver says this is the end result of a several months long process to sync up BMV records with the social security administration.

Stiver says the folks who get letters will still have a little over two weeks to request an extension. Stiver says the invalidation threat will not effect the upcoming special election in Marion County next week.
