Gary Teen Fights Adult Charges In September Auto Deaths

Last updated on Wednesday, February 27, 2008

(CROWN POINT) - A teenage driver involved in a crash that killed two of his friends is fighting efforts to charge him as an adult in the crash.

Eighteen-year-old Darius Moore of Gary appeared in juvenile court Tuesday to face 10 charges -- including reckless homicide and drunken driving -- in the September 15th deaths of Brandon Smith and Dominique Green.

The bodies of the victims were not found by police and lay undiscovered along a roadway for hours until Smith's father found them.
