(FORT WAYNE) - 25 year-old Jason Lambert of Fort Wayne pleaded guilty but mentally ill Friday to a charge of murder in connection with the death of his 3-week old son last August.
After mixed reports by mental health experts on an accused murderer's sanity, prosecutors and defense attorneys reached a plea agreement that will cap a prison sentence at 45 years.
A sentencing hearing has been set for March 7.
