Court Date Set In Police Corruption Case

(SOUTH BEND) - A September 8th trial date has been set in a police corruption case in St Joseph County.

Ryan Huston, Andrew Taghon, Jamie Buford, and truck driver Daniel Alvarez are charged in a 17-count federal court indictment. The former officers are accused of conspiring to commit wire fraud by selling stolen property.

Other charges involve illegal sales of drugs and guns. Alvarez is accused of being involved in the gun sales.
