Con Artists Could Wash Out With Flooding, Says Attorney General

Last updated on Friday, January 11, 2008

(UNDATED) - Indiana Attorney General Steve Carter says the flooding in North Central Indiana may bring out con artists preying on those who have seen damage to their homes.

Carter advises Hoosiers to take time finding a contractor by doing research. Carter advises homeowners to check with the city or county building department to determine the licensing requirements and if the contractor is properly licensed, bonded and insured.
