Baby Girl Safe After Found Alone In Vehicle

Last updated on Thursday, January 3, 2008

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The parents of a baby girl are under arrest and the child is in protective custody after a shopper at an Indianapolis grocery store found the baby alone in a truck Wednesday night in the freezing weather.

The mom and dad told police the child was asleep, so they left her in the vehicle... she was wearing socks and a coat and no shoes.

Police say the child was in the cold vehicle for at least twenty minutes.
