(TERRE HAUTE) - Federal prosecutors say a guard at the federal prison in Terre Haute stole more than $45,000 from a fund meant to support the recreational activities of prison staff.
Prosecutors charged senior correctional officer Michael Ashley with theft. A spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's office said Ashley will not be arrested.
An initial hearing is expected to be scheduled before a magistrate judge in federal court in Terre Haute.
