(UNDATED) - Giving the kid next door ten bucks to shovel your driveway is definitely less expensive than having a heart attack.

Medical experts say you're at risk for a heart attack while shoveling snow if you're a smoker, have high blood pressure or high cholesterol levels. But if you think you're up to the job, take precautions before flinging the flakes.

Pick a shovel with a small blade so you don't put as much strain on your body. Shovel slowly when you begin to avoid placing a sudden demand on your heart. Pay attention to how you're feeling and take frequent breaks.

If you can't remember these tips, then just fork over the ten bucks and help finance the neighbor kid's next video game.
