Judge Holds Paperwork In Child Neglect Case From Media

Last updated on Tuesday, December 4, 2007

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Documents in the case of a 3-year-old girl who died last week won’t be released by the Marion County Juvenile Court until later this week.

Investigators say Tajanay Bailey had been beaten. Her mother, Charity Bailey, and her fiance, Lawrence Green, are being held on murder and neglect charges.

Judge Marilyn Moores had planned to release approximately 1,500 pages of Department of Child Services documents Monday. The judge said the documents are being carefully reviewed for what is legally prohibited from being released. They're expected to be released on Thursday.

Tajanay's funeral will be held on Wednesday morning and Judge Moores says, out of respect for the family and all who wish to attend the services, a hearing set for Wednesday regarding media requests for access to additional court records will be rescheduled.
