(UNDATED) - The first statewide BMV food drive is being called a success.
Hoosiers donated over 27 thousand nonperishable food items from November 26th through last Friday.
Robert Wilson, major gift manager for Gleaners Food Bank in Indianapolis, says the need for food donations has grown. He says over a quarter million Hoosiers are experiencing hunger.
