(EVANSVILLE) - Vanderburgh County Assessor Jonathan Weaver will soon be touring homes on Evansville’s flood-plagued south east side.
Weaver received word from the state department of local government finance that 51-homes in the area may be reassessed.
Weaver says he will begin going door to door in an effort to meet with homeowners as early as the middle of the week.
Weaver adds that he is very pleased that this many homes will get a second look and that his staff is already hard at work to meet the DLGF's December 31st deadline for reassessments.
