Kentuckian Arrested For Possessing Stolen Property

Last updated on Friday, November 30, 2007

(DALE) - State Police Jasper arrested a Kentucky person near the interchange of Interstate 64 and US-231 for possession of stolen property.

Troopers stopped a gray Oldsmobile driven by 44-year-old Jerri Jennings for a traffic violation.

When troopers ran the Indiana license plate number on the vehicle, however, they realized what the information said and what he was looking at didn't match.

The license plates belonged to a vehicle in New Albany, and a check of the VIN number on the vehicle says it was last registered in the state of Colorado...and allegedly did not belong to Jennings.

Jennings was then arrested by state troopers and taken to Spencer County jail charged with one felony count of possession of stolen property.
