(UNDATED) - Hoosier voters have several options at the polls today.
65% of the people in Central Indiana will use electronic voting machines, where they touch the screen or a button next to the screen, and the rest will use a pencil and fill in an oval that will be read through a computer machine.
Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita says his office has provided Marion County officials with materials for poll worker training in hopes of avoiding the problems that plagued the primary election. If there is a problem with the voting machines, workers will set it up so people can vote on paper.
Rokita says absentee ballots around the state have been heavier than usual and he expects a "decent" turnout at the polls.
As for the colder temperatures, Rokita says it's been raining bullets and bombs in Iraq, but that hasn't kept voters there away from the polls.
