Last updated on Saturday, October 6, 2007

(CARMEL) - A Carmel mother who’s son died last month says she’s upset about the treatment he received while in an army transition unit.

Seargent Gerald Cassidy's convoy was bombed back in August 2006. The soldier was then sent to an outpatient program in Fort Knox, Kentucky - where he died September 21st.

While the cause of his death is undetermined, Cassidy's mother, Kay McMullen says an independent autopsy showed her son was unconscious for two days before he died.
