(BLUFFTON) - It's an early Christmas in Bluffton and it will stay that way until spring.
The Christmas decorations went up at the Wells County Courthouse last Friday. But Mayor Ted Ellis said Bluffton isn't jumping on board the early holiday bandwagon. "We aren't really rushing the season. The county commissioners decided last Monday that some of the concrete on the court house plaza needed replacement."
The project starts soon. But once the concrete is poured, no heavy equipment like the bucket trucks used to put up Christmas decorations can be used on the repaired parts of the plaza.
So the decorations went up early and won't come down until the concrete cures in early spring.
