Last updated on Thursday, September 27, 2007

(PERU) - The Miami County coroner has been killed in a car crash.

Sheriff's deputies say 79-year-old Lloyd Hill was pulling onto U.S. 31 from a county road and apparently didn't see a pair of oncoming vehicles.

Both vehicles, a VW and a jeep, hit hill's car on the driver's side.

Hill's wife Roberta was injured in the wreck. Two people in the jeep suffered minor injuries.
