Churches Push For Tougher Tobacco Regulation

Last updated on Thursday, September 27, 2007

(INDIANAPOLIS) - A lobbying push by Indiana church leaders for tougher regulation of tobacco is going statewide.

Members of the Christian Church-Disciples of Christ say they'll ask Indiana's congressional delegation to sponsor tougher rules.

Until now, the Indiana Faith and Health Coalition has been focusing its pressure on Ninth District Congressman Baron Hill, who serves on the House Commerce Committee.
