(FISHERS) - Fishers police say they’ve talked with the attorney for a man accused of posing as a deliveryman in an attack on a fishers woman, and expect the suspect will surrender.
The woman says she opened the door for someone who was wearing a DHL uniform. The man forced his way into her home and tried to attack her.
The woman fought back and the suspect fled, leaving behind some "personal items." Those items led police to identify him as 41-year-old Lawrence Carl.
A Fishers police spokesman says DHL has no affiliation with Carl and is trying to find out how he got the uniform.
Police say Carl had encountered the woman briefly before the attack.
