(JOHNSON COUNTY) - A South Carolina truck driver was killed in a wreck on Interstate 65 in Johnson County yesterday afternoon.

According to the Indianapolis district of the Indiana State Police, 59-year-old Edward Zick of Fountain Inn, SC, drove his Freightliner box truck into the guardrail on southbound I-65, catching the truck on fire.

By the time emergency crews could respond to the call and arrive on scene, the truck was fully engulfed in flame, Zick trapped inside.

I-65 was either closed or partially blocked in both directions for about 2 hours while crews cleaned up the wreckage. The State Police's Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division is still investigating the accident.
