More Food Cans Contaminated With Botulism

Last updated on Monday, August 6, 2007

(UNDATED) - A new recall is being announced by Lakeside Foods, Supervalu and several other retailers for certain private label french style green beans that could be contaminated with botulism.

Meanwhile, the Indiana State Department of Health says canned food that is part of a nationwide recall is still being found in stores statewide.

So far, the department has reports that 20 Indiana counties have discovered recalled products on their shelves. Nearby, Crawford and Daviess counties are on the list.

There have already been two confirmed cases of recall-related botulism in Indiana. A third case is being investigated. More than 27 brands are now part of the recall, including some canned dog food.
