Indy Man Charged 10 Years For Child Porn

Last updated on Wednesday, August 1, 2007

(INDIANAPOLIS) - A judge has handed down a 10-year prison term for an Indianapolis man who had images of child pornography on his camera and computer.

39-year-old Daniel Nanos pleaded guilty last month to child exploitation, possession of child pornography, and manufacturing methamphetamine. Criminal Court Judge Jeffrey Marchal today gave Nanos a 15-year prison sentence, suspended five years, and placed him on three years of sex offender probation.

Nanos was arrested last October after his co-workers at a Greenwood CVS store found pornographic pictures on his digital camera. Police found more illegal images while searching his home.

Nanos' public defender, David Hurley, says the sentence allows his client time to turn his life around. Nanos will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
