(JEFFERSONVILLE) - Five-hundred new jobs will begin in Jeffersonville.

The Census Bureau will hire the workers later this year. Two-thousand more temporary workers will be added in 2010. The agency will hire the workers to process millions of household surveys across the nation.

The first of 100 workers will be hired in late July. Then in December, 400 more will begin working. The jobs start at $12.00 and hour and include health benefits. The jobs won't last for more than a year.
