(INDIANAPOLIS) - A year after the regions bank building in Indianapolis was battered by severe winds, officials have unveiled a sweeping renovation plan.

The plan calls for changes to the glass, the external beams, and even some of the angles on the outside of one of the city's oldest high rises.

Todd Mauer is with the real estate group that owns the Regions Bank building. He says while they have no final cost estimates on the plan, officials are working with their insurance company to finance at least part of the project.

Parts of the exterior of the building still have steel covering up places that had windows. Places that were shattered during the storm a year ago.

Mauer also says only one tenant has left, while others have either moved in or expanded their office space. The project is slated to begin in June and wrap up in June of 2009.

Mauer also said he doesn't think the renovations will have an effect on the annual fourth of July fireworks display.
