Samaritans Help Man Out Of Burning Vehicle

Last updated on Tuesday, March 13, 2007

(INDIANAPOLIS) - It took six people to help rescue a truck driver who fell asleep at the wheel in Indianapolis this morning.

The man's truck overturned near an I-65 exit ramp just after midnight and caught fire.

Ryan Moore and Steven Brown of Noblesville were passing the scene and stopped to help the stranded driver. With assistance from four police officers, Brown and Moore were able to extricate the man, despite fears of flare-ups or explosions from burning diesel fuel.

The driver was taken to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment.
