Police Looking For Man After Saturday Robbery

Last updated on Monday, March 5, 2007

(UNDATED) - Johnson County Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a gas station and tried to rob a hotel Saturday morning.

A five-foot-ten white man wearing a green jacket with red reflective patches is accused of taking $2,200 dollars and two packs of cigarettes from a Pilot filling station in Whiteland and then trying to rent a room at a greenwood hotel around 3:3AM.

The manager on duty refused the man because of the late hour and the man then told the manager he was being held up. Informed there was no cash register at the hotel, the man left, but not before he was caught on security camera tape, which authorities are now reviewing.
