Pit Bull Stabbing Connected To Domestic Abuse Case

Last updated on Thursday, March 15, 2007

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Prosecutors say a domestic abuse case in Marion County is connected to the brutal stabbing of a pit bull in Johnson County.

25-year old John Hornaday is accused of beating his wife, locking her in a closet and threatening to kill her if she went to police.

According to court records, Heather Hornaday says her husband had hung a baby pitbull by its collar on a fence and stabbed it in front of her and her infant son. Heather then says John made her help clean up the blood.

Court records also show repeated death threats against heather by co-defendants in the abuse case, John Hornaday's father, Wayne and his girlfriend Theresa Key.

Trials for all three are set for June 4th.
