ISP To Step Up Holiday Enforcement

Last updated on Monday, November 20, 2006

(UNDATED) - A reminder to Hoosiers for the upcoming holiday weekend…slow it down…or get a ticket!

State police will be out on the roads in full force thanks to a statewide enforcement crackdown by the Governor's Council on Impaired and Dangerous Driving.

That means additional officers will be working overtime to enforce Indiana's drunk-driving and seatbelt laws. Last year nearly 700 people died in crashes on Hoosier highways.
