FBI Dir. Says Indianapolis Needs More Room

Last updated on Friday, November 3, 2006

(INDIANAPOLIS) - FBI director Robert Mueller stopped in Indianapolis Thursday.

Mueller talked about re-aligning departments within the FBI to better handle everything from corruption to homeland security.

Mueller says his vision for the Indianapolis offices is to move them into a bigger facility, so they can house several different task forces, including the "Safe Streets" task force and the joint terrorism task force.

Officials say the plan is to have the local expanded FBI offices open within the next two to three years.
